Class Information - Agility
LEVEL 1
AG101: Foundation Agility
Cost: $40
Location: Lower oval
Pre-requisites: Graduation from Obedience Skills Level 1 and be at least 12 months of age
This class is the first step in your agility training. It teaches basic jumping skills and begins teaching some novice handling techniques. The class also introduces other equipment such as tunnels, contacts (A-frame and Dog Walk) and weaves. Foundation contacts are taught using the 2 on 2 off contact method on non-full size contact equipment leading up to using full size contacts. Channel weavers are introduced as well to teach the dogs how to weave.
** Enrolment in this class is for 1 handler training 1 dog.
LEVEL 2
AG201: Elementary Agility

Class Time: Mon 6:30 - 7.45pm
Location: Lower oval
Pre-requisites: Graduation from Foundation Agility
The Elementary class builds on the foundation skills learnt in the previous class. Dogs and handlers work on jumping courses and developing more independence on the full size contact equipment. The class builds weave skills and distance tunnel drive. Handling techniques such as threadles, serpentines, front, rear and blind crosses are worked on along with building on lead outs at the start line.

LEVEL 3
AG301: Intermediate Agility
Cost: $40
Class Time: Mon 6:30 - 7.45pm
Location: Lower oval
Pre-requisites: Graduation from Elementary Agility
This class builds on all the skills previously learnt. It is designed to prepare the dog and handler teams to begin competing in Agility and Jumping trials. Contacts are refined and course walking skills are developed further. The class pays attention to the lines on the course taken by both the hander and the dog. Building course confidence and handling skills is the main focus of this class to prepare the teams for competition.

LEVEL 4
AG401: Advanced Agility
Cost: $40
Class Time: Mon 6:30 - 7.45pm
Location: Lower oval
Pre-requisites: Graduation from Intermediate Agility and/or be trialling
In this class you will work on the confidence of the team (dog and handler) in trialling situations. Dogs and handlers will be trialling in Agility and Jumping or about to begin trialling. The class focuses on polishing different handling techniques such as rear, blind and front crosses. It also begins teaching more independent weaves and confidence with contacts. Some more advanced handling skills such as taking back sides of jumps, flyind, German and K-turns are also developed further along with learning how to be a more discerning agility handler.
LEVEL 5
AG501: Seniors Agility
Cost: $40
Class Time: Thursday 6:30 - 8.15pm
Location: Lower oval
Pre-requisites: Graduated all instructed classes and/ or be trialling at Masters Level in both Agility and Jumping.
The Seniors Agility class is for experienced handlers. They don’t have an instructor as they have trained multiple dogs or have titled their first dogs to Masters level. Handlers must be invited to join this group or have graduated from all instructed classes and be competing at Masters level in both Jumping and Agility. Senior handlers from other clubs who wish to join need to make a request through the contact us page.
The dogs in this class are not always at Masters Level. There are often young dogs that the Senior handlers are training to start trialling or who are competing at lower levels. Everyone helps each other out as there is no formal instructor.
**NOTE: The handlers may also train subsequent dogs that are not at Masters Level.
AG502: Friday Agility

Pre-requisites: Graduation from Obedience Puppy Manners.
